Can someone please tell me what's 'far right' about protesting against an ideology which condones intolerance to gays, lesbians, transgenders, women, kaffirs, democracy, freedom of speech, integration etc.
Surely it should be the fat left protesting. It's a mad fucking world.

Of course I agree that defeat by the Nazis would have been a disaster. I'm just quibbling with the history. All the evidence suggests that Hitler would have been content with what would now be called 'regime change' rather than long-term direct military occupation. And yes, that regime change would have been catastrophic for the Jewish population.

Fair enough, I did specifically state Hitler which was a mistake, I should've said the Nazis , Walther von Brauchitsch specifically, however even if his plans of deportation hadn't come to fruition, the destruction of this country as we know it, the enslavement of its population, and liquidation of Jews and other 'undesirables' would've been bad enough to compare it unfavourably to liberal democracy we have now, I'm sure you'll agree.

Nothing from Hitler at all there, mate. Not a dicky-bird. And not really anything from the Nazis.
The only really controversial stuff is credited to General von Brauchitsch, who was a Wehrmacht officer and disliked the Nazis. He was in any case dismissed in 1941.
Even his alleged plans do not accord with what actually happened in France.
And no, I am not justifying the Germans inhuman treatment of Jews or massacres of civilians - just querying the tone of your point.

I think they've got a problem with Islam in Europe, not Islam in Syria.
I don't know anything about this group apart from that. I'm uncomfortable with groups that demonise other groups, having said that I wouldn't be comfortable living in an Islamic country seeing as most of them are more fascist than the supposedly fascist groups that oppose them here.
Incidentally, why is it that when a group of working class people march against Islam they are racists and fascists, yet when a group of Middle class academics march against Catholicism they are enlightened liberals?

They don't call themselves Nazis because, amongst other things, there is a great deal of legislation against the promotion of Nazism in Germany, due to that unpleasant business in the last century. I thought anyone with a passing familiarity of recent European history would know this.

You are right that party no longer exists, and few claim to support its policies or claim its name.

It is in this later, colloquial sense of the term that the word Nazi is being used.

Because Nazis belonged to a political party known as the National Socialist Party or the Nazi Party, which doesn't exist anymore, funnily enough. Thats why they don't call themselves Nazis, because they ain't fucking Nazis.
